Abstract:
In follow up studies including demographical, epidemiological, financial, medical and sociological studies, partly interval censored data is
a common practice where observed data include both exact and interval censored observation on the survival time of interest. This paper discusses approximating survival function under general partly interval censoring model when the covariates are considered in the analysis. The Taylor series is used to approximate the baseline hazard function in the Cox proportional hazard model. The method is evaluated using simulation studies. The results indicate that the approach performs well for practical situations and comparable to the existing methods.
